At this point who knows? As I've been reading this over the months / years it could be either >.<

I had settled on 2 personalities with the same memories, like the Princess persona was a result of brainwashing / conditioning / magic that had become it's own thing co-existing with the original person. Rather than a take over / merging like in traditional "i bite, you bite" creation of new vampires shrug
