Ayur is obviously destined for great things, since she thinks it’s a good idea to reveal her real attitude about the land she’s trying to take over.
I think this whole matriarch selection is stupid. Arvid is the one that has to marry her, yet they can just push this unwanted candidate into the forerunning? Why has she been trained this whole time to take this position? Did that only start after his mom died? They don’t seem to need a matriarch if they’ve survived perfectly well since then. The whole thing makes no sense.
