yeah, you right but those noble live are equal to others. director just saving life to bring him profit instead of progress. his research will be use to sacrifice innocent commoner and poor people to save life of greedy rich and nobles. The life is only worth than others if they bring benefits to others than themselves. like you said, inventor, doctor. Leader is quite questionable here as leader can be corrupt and worth nothing. we see today politicians use their connection and money to get first line of organ donation or surgery.

All lives are equal, another thing is that sometimes people decide to give a ranking to them depending on the benefits that certain lives can bring to the table or just personal attachment

A great inventor in the great scale of the universe is as irellevant as a beggar living under a bridge, its just a matter of perspective, "if this person remains alive will they benefit me?" and personal relations

My guess is Becker got the photo from the 1st Secretary by getting him extremely drunk after what Alfred informed him of.

Alfred was either silenced or put into hiding; potentially Alfred sided with Goldran on his beliefs and thus Becker gave that test to the MC with the coins. Then hearing what he did with the Boss Trio made Becker know he could be trusted
