I know right. A while ago in chapter 75, the one where Ami was nearly hit by a truck, Hayato some point in the future narrates: said "At the time, there was no way I could have known just how easily everything we'd worked for could come crashing down I'm an instant" and I'm not entirely convinced that that was part of the bait, but also some foreshadowing. Hopefully not, but we do know that old guy has is out for Hayato...
