This might be the first time I’ve seen a regressor story have actually using future knowledge backfire massively. He gets his one freebie (saving family) and then so far fails every attempt after that. So far it’s consistent. He can use his experience fighting and kept his power, but trying to avoid trouble, or claim loot sooner have all backfired in some way. Usually massively.
It’s when he’s just reacting to what’s in front of him that he does better.
Also the story consistently screws up temperatures and its jarring and hilarious. How did you screw up converting Celsius in Mandarin to Celsius in English? Like, HOW? The story told us that two degrees below room temp was going to kill them when they are trapped in a fridge/freezer thing. You know, those things that hover around the 4C to -4C range. Swapping to F doesn’t work either.
