And after destroying the reputation of young students he put one of those students in a potentially life threatening situation with the hope to make money from it

Exactly, writing in this is really wierd so far I would give it 6/10 at best, but I heard later on writer quit and only artist contunued the story and that's when this manga got a lot better. I still have hope.
