OH wait, he didn't ask her to a date, he just stated they should go out in front of everyone in class and then she fled the building. Incredibly shoddy writing, since not only she, but even he forgot about it. It seems like this author is just going to reuse every plot point from both characters, so when one of them buys the other a gift, the other has to do it too, when one of them drops their pencil, the other has to do it too etc.
