I don't really understand the power up the MC just got
Basically the pill that got thrown at the MC was suppose to be a pill that kill pain and boost the senses. What I assume what they were expecting to happen is that with the drastic increase to his sight / sound / touch / hearing / smell / etc, he would be too overwhelmed to properly defend himself but yeah, the MC adapted to it.
