Not only that, the framing of every chapter that features a male character besides her brother is quite strange. It touches on the fundamental divide between the modern youth's bizarre take on the topics of consent, and sexuality. Say what you want about this work, but it manages to perfectly capture the "old" sexuality- the one that existed around 20 years ago, where there wasn't this sense of "People aren't responsible for their choices" seeped so far into people at the time that they'd go up in arms about this sort of development.
