Thanks for posting this! You guys are doing a great job.
The story has potential but it feels like it’s too comfortable following a formula rather than being original. Why be worried about things changing when you already know you want the story to change? While knowing how things are supposed to happen gives you a bit of control, at some point you will be in situations beyond that of the stories narrative. Why be so resistant to being with the guy you like when he likes you? He’ll fall in love with someone else? Does he not have free will? It’s a cliche and an uninteresting one at that.
In the other hand the characters are all reasonably. No ridiculously evil characters or contrived situations. Yeah her step family is not the best but the mom knows when to step aside when it clearly benefits her. While Anri’s behavior could come across as a bit “sassy modern girlboss” at first with how confrontational she is at first. She’s seems like a likable protagonist.
Erwin sadly does do the whole “interesting” thing all Duke’s do because of course he’s a black haired Duke ml who has never loved a single woman except the original fl. But perhaps it’s because of how much he seems to love his horse and how amusing it is to have everyone fawning over black haired ml #1026 but I can’t dislike him…yet.
Perhaps I’m too hard on this and am jaded but I really do find this somewhat enjoyable. While it doesn’t do anything spectacular but it’s not bad so I feel like that’s better than some alternatives.
