It is implied that the long haired girl has already been replaced by the mimic by the time of the inspection. The tied up one is the real girl.

The last shot is Aine walking towards the bottom of the panel (she's taking a break first), while the tied up girl dragged towards the top of the panel (after disposing the girl, the mimic will follow Aine taking a break).

Huh, what I got was that it was the short girl that tied it up, there was that odd turned on line and then she stayed behind, followed by the happily ever after note, I thought she was going to "play" with the mimic.
