Haven't really found out what "Goshomaki" means, but I speculate it has some similar meaning to the Hindu/Buddhist concept of "Rakshasa/demon marriage" i.e. marriage by abduction (meaning apparently ranged from semi-ritualized forms of engagement to outright rape).
