I mean, the author is using a few obvious tricks here
The cave fight was definitely a good example of MC using his mind and directing their allies to fight expertly
But since then its been events too oddly skewed to benefit him
Then knocking him out to skip a few fights. On one hand, I see what you're doing author, saves the wrist a bit to not have forgettable fight scenes (not because they're bad at choreography, just cause why would we care, so they skipped straight to a fight that matters)
But I feel like the story isn't quite living up to its potential yet. Our genius so far has shown he's good at both reading people, and deceiving, and it has sold me on that, and I do see his fighting potential steadily increasing. But I don't feel like this story has truly shined yet.
