Can you even find super lagers in Japan? 🤔 I suspect for the sake of story, this guy was made to be extremely weak to alcohol.

So, he was in high school while she was already in middle school. That certainly places a strict maximum to their age difference. I'm also tempted to say the dude didn't go to a university at all but started working right after high school, yet still landed an office job. Or he went to some academy that only lasted a couple of years. Seems like I was quite wrong before, thinking six years would be the minimum age difference between them.
