It has a lots of ups and downs, but if you can make it past the generic bits that seems about to turn into generic shonen fan service or grim-dark genres, there is some depth that's developing that makes it worth exploring.

I've only read up to ch 4.4 so far, but it is definitely staying on my reading list, and I'd suggest at least putting it in your "want to read" list for later if you like complex world-building. The author is trying to thread a difficult "realist" middle ground here, and if he can pull it off past the set-up stage, it might be worth exploring this manga past the set-up stages. It looks like we'll see a massive stage with lots of character arcs. I definitely like how slavery isn't being glamorized or treated lightly, the way some other manga have done.

WTF It was good even if the main character is bland as fuck ( "cheat ability" my ass he's the weakest of the weakest -> if you can do anything can't you do things that make you powerful little by little so you stay hidden and you can afford it ? (try using luck potion on you first for instance))

I've just finished ch 4.4 and wtf is that cheat and unsensical character coming out of nowhere ? Alchemy, magic, hex, ect she can also see the future ??!!! And to top it off : ONE OF HER MAIN GOAL IS TO FORBID PEOPLE FROM EATING MEAT
One of the most unsensical character I've ever seen ...

PS : Are you fucking stupid ?! Out of everything you coud have picked you chose a fucking crystal that makes you go back time but erases your memory ?!!!!

What i don't understand about her is why she even cares about gifted ones?
I mean, her main goal is to improve the situation of slaves and beast/demi-human so why does killing gifted ones should matter to her???
The same goes for the harvester, why should she care about him unless he is a rival like the hexgirl said. Unless she's stealing gifted ones cheat as well, which could explain why she is a Mary Sue.
At the same time, she even said that the MC is kind but timid and she is more or less aware that his gift is about alchemy so why does she want to spy on him?
Moreover, what were the chance that the MC would operate in a town where there is group of people who are "trained" or used to detect/track and kill gifted ones?
Personnaly, i hate that girl BUT she could be a decent Antagonist/Villain for the story. She is arrogant, an extremist that could actually be the leader of a sect.
The only issue would be the fact that the MC is so weak and pitiful that the only way he could win/prevail would be a Deus ex Machina.
I might continue to read it but frankly the only way to save the story would be to get her killed by the Harvester and for her to gravely wound/maim him so that the MC can have enough time for growth and personal development.
This girl truly is the worst character introduced in any manga i've ever read.

Honestly, I kinda wish it was just him and the elf.

And I wish he weren't so lame.

It had some potential and I was very excited during the first chapter, but... Nah.

so far, the slave girl feels more like the protagonist then the isekai guy. she is basically the one that drive the plot and the stoeu is mostly from her perspective

After reading chapter 5.3, I can say that this story has lots of unnecessary things added in and/or way too soon at least.
If what was said about Agnosia is true, she's a fucking crazy villain and there's super self-righteous extremist vegetarian (or vegan?) Norn who's even worse and potentially more dangerous.
AerithG is also completely right, the MC is an idiot and the storytelling makes him seem like his slave's sidekick or something, which is never a good idea for any story.
I'll keep an eye on this manga, but right now I can't recommend it. It just seems overloaded with weird stuff and characters right now.

This manga is just sooo frustrating, it has/had a lot of potential with its alchemy and all. BUT there are so many concepts that are sooo strange. Vegetarianism is actually somewhat interesting in this one considering there are literally conscious beast-people. Self-righteous girl is just uugh. It feels like this manga might be good as a bunch of ideas, but it feels too raw and unedited to be consumed.

This manga feels far too much like a first draft where the writer just tossed everything they thought of into the story without bothering to consider if it was a good fit or not. Seems like Kadokawa can't even afford competent editors any longer.

I would say this is one of those cases where the editor lets the mangaka do whatever he wants because whatever he's doing is kind of working, at least in Japan. As this manga is tracking well enough, with both volumes even ranking on Oricon with very positive reviews.

I mean, volume 2 sold like 15k copies in just 4 days, and this was only for the physical edition.

The art style is unique and good. The first couple chapters were fascinating to read. The translations are on point. Then the author started introducing awful characters with no redeeming qualities that absolutely ruin any enjoyment of this manga.

Don't waste your time.
Hard pass.
