It's trippy seeing scores in the 30s (out of 100 I assume) as "passing grades"... I don't know if this is just for this manga (to make the point that Chidori High is academically, a bottom of the barrel school) or is this really the case in Japanese public schools. But the warm way their teacher treats his students like humans is top-tier.

The stark contrast between the schools is really striking. By comparison Kikyo is an academically top-tier but stuffy school, with dour teachers who prioritize maintaining the school's prestige and history over the growth of the students as people. The way their teacher treats her students like machines is so cold; it's almost soulless and utilitarian.

Stuck up schools with stuck up teachers that never got any fun in their life making it so stuck up kids don't have fun in their lives.

So the girls in Kikyo isn't really bad, it's just that they've been getting injected by the prejudice that the other side of the curtain is that bad.. guess we can blame the teachers for that.

I hope those girls get to realise sooner or later how much they're missing out the present moments.

I guess that could be a reason why, being a bottom of the barrel and all could most likely make their requirements a bit more of a luxury.

And I can wholeheartedly agree to the top-tier treatment, we can say he really have been with those students if he isn't warning anyone about stuff.
