I don't even necessarily mind a company trying to monetize simulpups, but the way KManga is doing it just isn't it. Azuki I've had good experiences with (latest chapter locked behind (relatively inexpensive $5/month) subscription but, at least on the series I'm reading, a significant number of chapters are free (first 5, most recent 4 sans latest)). MangaPlus I think their simulpubs are free on release and require subscription after a point. I'd actually consider subscribing to those two to read stuff if I wasn't caught up.Yah, a sleezy garbage company is trying to intrude again.
Don't get me wrong, I love buying and collecting the physical copies of these manga.... but I love reading the fan scanlations... I never open by books...
And I wish these companies could just say away from the fandom scene...
I try to find kmanga at playstore but i find nothing. It's kinda sad because I can't read this anymore. Not like i against to support the mangaka, it just that I'm broke to subscribe every month, maybe will wait to this release the physical book at my countryWell, RIP. Thanks for scanlating this. Too bad KManga is pretty garbage (weird gacha mechanics around earning points even after watching ads, skeezy alternate methods of earning points by downloading other apps and making making purchases/subscribing to their service, inconsistent handling of how different series are monetized between regular tickets, premium tickets, and point, etc.) so all these series getting dropped because of it are just gonna wither on the vine. If they'd gone a different route like Azuki or MangaPlus it'd be much less of a shame since those apps seem to at least be sensibly monetized. Also the fact that this basically leaves everyone outside North America out to dry.
K-manga is only for the US. Canada is shut out as well not that I would actually subscribe to their ridiculous payment model.Thank you for all your work on this series!
Personal rant, I understand the reasons for dropping the series, but it just kind of sucks since K Manga is only for the US & Canada, meaning people like myself in the UK and other countries wont have a legal way to access the official chapters unless using a VPN.
Even for people who can access it, it is terrible. It's not a flat monthly subscription, but a convoluted 3 currency system more akin to a gacha game.I try to find kmanga at playstore but i find nothing.
