like on one hand we the audience sympathise with him (work is tough, being lonely sucks, no friends or romance) but if it goes too far, we stop being sympathetic and start being annoyed (why are you so lame, stop crying all the time, make some positive life moves)
Yeah, just seems like he's searching for happiness without, while ignoring the happiness he needs to cultivate within.
I worry for the guy is all - seems like his happiness is being constructed on a foundation of matchsticks.
