How is she staying true to herself when she alters every part of her being because she doesn't like her natural self?
When I wished for the story to continue I think it was obvious that I wanted it to continue with the same characters. These new characters are so conservative and plain. And the back-card with those characters from that boring repetitive manga make it pretty clear that this mangaka isn't interested in writing anything worth reading anymore. Time to move on and come back to re-read the original story whenever I feel like it.

This point may be one that you don't want to understand, but: One's self is largely one's system of values and one's expression of those values. The features of one's natural anatomy are not of one's choosing, though it is possible that they might co-incide with what one would choose. Such a co-incidence was not the case for Miki. She did what she could to impose her self upon her body by dressing in a particular way, bleaching her hair, wearing contacts, and so forth.

First of all, the mangaka has nothing to do with the back cards at the end of each chapter. That's something the translator does to promote other stories they're translating.
Second, if you're going to talk bad about Hana ni Arashi, one of the best yuri manga out there right now, you have absolutely no credibility whatsoever.
Third, could you please tell all of us what your "standards" are for Yuri manga already? Because it seems like they're constantly changing to fit whatever stupid criticism you have against a manga you don't like.
Fourth, it's pretty asinine of you to assume that because the mangaka made ONE chapter you didn't care for, they'll never make anything worth reading again.

@G-man672 Just to clarify on one thing - I don't personally use it to promote series I'm working on, but rather to suggest series to people that I think are worth reading. There are some I've recommended that I also work on (Bocchi Kaibutsu, Hana ni Arashi), but the majority I've never had any involvement in (Her Tale of Shim Chong, I Favor the Villainess, Blooming Sequence, Call and reply, After School, etc.)
