Harder than whisky.
Theory: Also Im pretty sure from chapter 1 that the dad got trapped in time by the watch, probably because it got broken, spending many years his body in that "realm".

this is actually great so far! my only complaint would be the frequent sexualisation of the 15 year old protagonist, which i can only excuse as "hormonal hiroki vision" so many times before it gets a little grating. story's great though. i guess if you like manga/anime you kind of just have to learn to live with that kind of stuff lol

A solid short manga. Can't say much more without spoiling it, other than a butterfly flapping it's wings can make changes in unexpected ways through time.

8/10, great compact read, but I think with the current pacing the author had more room to cook. Still really solid, but I guess I wanted a bit more, idk.

Very good, shows how a power that shouldn't be in human possession can go very wrong. The author writes the romantic parts well, and the consequences even better. Very well written, will be reading more of his works❤️

Pretty good I'd say. There are a few things that are unrealistic but hey, it's fiction and I think the aim is to make us feel things like thrill, fear, conflict and happiness.
Wait isn’t this just Kimi wa Yotsuba no Clover
Not really. I mean if you simplify it then both of them are romance (but not only romance, iykyk) stories where the female lead uses a device which can affect time in some way to help her mutual love interest.
But I think both of them tell very different stories with some parallels on the "with great power comes great responsibility" and saving someone from a disaster/misfortune part.
Yostuba (which I haven't finished yet) is more about a girl and guy helping out each other while they suffer (A LOT) and girl tries to prevent a horrible fate from occurring by looping back in time, making certain changes and uncovering a mystery.

For pros, this one has:
  • Nice art. Character designs being cute or just alright.
  • Death Note like vibes in certain scenes but it's not as well-thought out or exciting as DN.
  • Emotion vs. reasoning stuff involving guilt, love, sacrifice, etc.
  • Philosophical stuff about having the power to do things and the costs they come with.
  • Decent bit of mystery and subversion
  • Some nice twists and surprises. I wouldn't say it's peak fiction but it's not bad.
  • Nice pacing. Not slow, might feel a little bit rushed later but it gets the job done in 15 chapters. I'm satisfied with what I got but it does leave you yearning for a bit more. Like I was expecting to get the dad's pov for the whole thing but it was kinda skipped over.
  • Ending which is happy and good enough within the limited scope of just the characters shown, though it might be hard to believe if you're a sceptic or a "glass half-empty" person. Let's not overthink about that.
I do have some complaints:
Sexualization of a 15yo girl. I know it's a manga and it's only in a few chapters but I think keeping her cute for the whole thing would've been better.
Some of their decisions are stupid. To be fair, they are kids in a situation and there is an explanation for the impulsiveness.
This is just based on vibes, as I didn't look too deep into it but some of the stuff done by the cops feel a bit off. Like would someone actually do that? Is that standard procedure? Is that how it works? At least it's not impossible.
Some awfully convenient things happen but again, it's a manga and not too bad.
The rules and mechanics of the time-stop is not experimented with or fully explored at least on-screen. I guess it avoids walls of text, long explanations and keeps the pacing fast but it also leaves us with some questions.

Overall pretty fun read, doesn't get boring and pros outweigh the cons. I'd rate it between 7.4 and 8.7.
