I'm sure this was faithfully translated; I'm certain it's accurate, I mean.

That's not physics, though; that is science, and physics is a science, but... fruits can be apples, but calling a pear as an "apple" doesn't turn it into an apple

That was Chemistry, and specifically Biochemistry... followed by throwing it, which is Physical Science, but... also Biology, and specifically Kinesthetics. Which is described by using Physics, therough the interaction of the Grand Unified Theory.

But it's not Physics.

Maybe, since it's a bunch of, well... sciences, it means his power is actually...

SCIENCE

(Cue the Bill Nye theme song!)

Now, I'm not a biochemist, but I'm pretty sure antibodies don't work that way. In multiple respects. First, they aren't usually what grants immunity to toxins, that's various enzymes in the liver. Second, they aren't poisonous, as a general rule. Too many can cause problems, but lethal concentrations would probably be in solid form, because they're be more antibodies than water. Third, even if they were, they certainly wouldn't that quick-acting of a poison. Or be a contact poison. They'd probably need to be injected.

When a series with "science-based" powers starts out this fractally wrong, it's a very bad sign.

So this whole thing is a very funny if you know some trivia. The title uses a word usually translated as sage, but here it was translated as philosopher. But it all kinda makes sense. Same with physics. Another translation would be something like natural law, which means physics. Modern science has developed a lot and branched out to what we have now, like physics, chemistry, biology etc. but in older days it was all... philosophy. Love of knowledge. In the days of the ancient greek philosophers there was no such distinction. So the philosophers were basically scientists, people who explored the natural world and its laws. So the MC is a philosopher (scientist) who uses the power of physics (natural laws). And he don't need no magic.

TL;DR if you take the original greek meanings of words like philosopher and physics, the whole manga makes a lot more sense.

Dude does have superhuman strength and abilities tho, that's no science :haa: but I really like the wordplay, it excited the nerd in me. So the whole premise is kinda BS
