The funny thing is his abilities are magic, solely because "magic" in this setting is studied and easily replicable, even by children, which makes it a science.

His abilities, though, while grounded in the laws of physics, are effectively impossible for anyone else to reproduce and defy the setting's natural laws. If that ain't magic, I don't know what is.
