I really tried to appreciate that manga, since it has many qualities, but the tendency of the mangaka to make it horror and misery all the way and his liking to display the most gruesome scenes has dried my will. I don't understand or like what he tries to achieve anymore.

Uh? You miss the prior chapters? Bro been trying to cause a genocide. He killed like 100+ humans at this point. Seeing this story only strengthen his resolve more likely and wavers Dokis since she's been the one trying to talk him out of killing for a while now and was somewhat successful. This kinda justify his reasons. At least this means the dude might join them now.

Couldn't agree more. People may like this, and I saw the tags coming in, but the focus on it is just off-putting and doesn't add to the story at all.

TO think this is all caused because a witch (the queen) wanted to make sure there was no competition. I guess when she dies miserably (like everyone) there will be no humans left to mourn her. I'm expecting the ending to be where life goes back to nature since all science and humans will be dead
