He goes by many names, but the one all readers will come to call him, is "Racist King". Long live the Racist King!
Now, a quick-crap review:
It does its comedy well (depending on your comedy preferences), and there have been one or two tear jerkers later on, but the main character himself is not someone I've grown attached to. His book for character development was basically opened and closed in the first chapter, as a quick summary. Most characters don't seem to develop on the pages, but I think they're developed enough to be viable. Character art is glorious at times, and absolutely hilarious with a certain Jagd knight of the MC, but it's not "Golden-Haired Summoner".
Unfortunately, the world suffers from being in the 'gates in modern era' trope that you'll find in any story like this (i.e. leveling boards, specialists known as 'hunters', medieval and mystical weapons being effective while modern firearms are usually obsolete, valuable resources within the gates, etc.); however, there is minor variation that makes it interesting. Such things include denizens/survivors of the gate worlds sometimes making it to the modern world through those gates. Maybe because it has been only glimpsed, but I kind of hope there later comes a prequel to this series where we explore the MC's world before its destruction.
All in all, it feels like what I missed with Solo-Level, while being different from Solo-Level, and being a better manhwa to get into than to try liking Solo-Level: Ragnarok.
