Why is it a meteorite crystal if it has been formed inside a zombie? It has got nothing to do with meteorites. Nevertheless, I'm glad the author actually bothered to mention it clearly enough here. Otherwise I'd have thought fragment and crystal are merely synonyms in the story, and the teacher needing fifty bloody fragments would have been utterly outrageous. Even crystals will be difficult to secure, seeing how it requires defeating fifty old enough zombie mutants.
