I can hardly see any other reason for her existence, including the fact she keeps appearing on her own, separate from the main character group. She's probably working for Luo brat's father, with her mission originally being to rescue Luo brat. She quickly learned Luo brat doesn't need rescuing and she can't even take her by force, especially if she needed to face Tian Cheng.
