I feel like the series is underlining too much how the MC always needs once in a million or billion chances to level up, whereas his buddies merely do it on the side, often without any super special means. There was no special need here for teacher Luo not to join Tian Cheng inside the flower. Needing to guard it is no real reason because there was no need to bring enemies to that extremely isolated place.
