I'm gonna laugh if this wolf dude is going to screw with Noel's plans just by being an airhead
On the contrary, I'm betting he's the one the plan is actually based on.
So far as we've seen wolf is probably the ideal pawn for mc. Dumb and predictable af yet confident and blind reckless. And despite all this he is trusted by his allies (remember they actually let someone who thought 40yr ol festival by overdeath was real represent them solo).

I'm guessing it most likely involves either merging all 3 into a useful clan or swallowing them up whole.

Oof. Like, it doesn't look terrible, and the character design are the same overall. But it has NONE of the flair or style of the manga, with the odd angles and exaggerated expressions. It's like the took the basic character designs, and then plopped them into the most bog-standard action anime animation style and direction. Like, this was a fantastic opportunity to embrace the flair of the manga and go kinda weird with the shot direction, but none of that shows up in the trailer at all. Absolutely not capturing the unique style at all, which goes a long way to amplify the biggest scenes in the story and makes them more impactful.

Hope they can fix it, but really doubt they have the budget to do so, wish they would be more choosy with some of these adaptations, instead of seemingly going for the first and cheapest studio to offer one.
I agree. I don't want this to be turned into another "I have the weakest rank but I'm the strongest" cliche trope that is super predictable and boring.

Well, I agree. In the first place, I mentioned Shaft because they have a pretty distinct style for dialogue-based series like Monogatari. However, to be fair to the studio currently handling the adaptation of this series, since they have a track record for handling Mushoku Tensei, I think they deserves the benefit of the doubt...

At least a little bit since we all know from the trailer that it seems to be formulaic with more focus on the action than the talking, which is regretable.

Yeah, it's wild. Hearing Noel talk from the trailer sounds different from what I often imagined his voice to be. It should be more... hmm... androgynous? Idk.

:nyoron:
Exactly what I was thinking with the voice!!!
It's not supposed to sound boyish or manly but a little in between a hot girl and guy type voice. Like maybe a male succubus type voice? The charming one that matches a devious and mischievous person as Noel.
Something like crimson (red haired androgynous character) in ragna crimson who can switch between male and woman and the way crimson dresses and speaks, they(?) can be mistook as either gender!
Crimson is an incredible example of how a mischievous voice can really make or break how other characters and readers think of you.

at this point, i just hope that the anime will be a worthwhile adaptation of the LN!! As long as the animation is not terrible and they don't skip or rush content from the LN, I'm (almost) sure the anime will be relatively successful...........................................
