in a kinder classroom they'd be making manga together... ah well, another curse it is. The biggest tragedy is that what we can see of Ema's portrait of Tatari looks pretty cute imo lol, it's a shame that things probably would've gone worse if Tatari complimented Ema's work tho

Junji Ito's Souichi is probably based on Tatari.

Plus, the dynamic of the stories are wildly different for me. Soichi is framed as the villain, the reader gets satisfaction from seeing the ways the spells backfires. As for Tatri, the satisfaction comes from her succeeding in her revenge
Tried to look up anything online on it, Inuki does speak about having influenced Hideshi Hino (and vice versa) but I couldnt find anything were she talks about having influenced Ito
So to me, it's just "two artists exploring a similar concept in the same timeframe in different ways" rather than one inspiring the other
