Thanks for the tl

I liked the progression but the battles didn't leave any impression on me aside from Schnee freezing everyone. Something about the way this was depicted felt lacking, maybe I'm tripping

Agreed. The mangaka of this manga is VERY good at portraying certain moments (like the black smithing, and quieter scenes) but action sequences fall short a bit sometimes. Could’ve made Schnee look like a god of the sword here but it felt low key. Could also be an intentional tool used by the mangaka though to state that even boss monsters are as effortless as slicing mobs, but more like just a case of this artist’s battle choreo not being of an epic style.

Thanks for the translation!

It seems like that multi-tailed fox wasn't a naturally developed one. It's like a young spirit fox that was turned into a giant monster using external power. Maybe it even lost most of its mind in the process.

It's probably a child of the leader fox, which means it was a spoiled brat that was never taught anything in fear of reprisal from the mother.

Yes, but still you'd think it would need to be at least a couple of centuries old to be worth anything in a fight. After centuries, would it still be so disappointing and seemingly lacking any intelligence? Who knows, though. It's not like we would exactly know the lore in this series.

we have gotten so good battles, like the ones the spear guy had, so I would go with the intention to show the curbstomp as it is, maybe the frozen landscape could have been a bigger picture, to show the astonishing power of Schnee, but still we got a poor lad getting frozen alive, so it's understandable to see the people getting afraid there.

Thank you for the chapter.

We continue to see more examples of just how high-quality this adaptation is, and I am all here for it!

Remember that Schnee's main class is Ninja, so more subdued, but powerful, strikes makes more sense to me than being flashy like Filma.
