lol i fell away from this manga for a good while and now he's in a martial arts tournament arc? last I remember him and some deformed old guy were taking two prostitutes out on a pool date
fucking strongest man kurosawa, i can identify with him
always on the bottom rung
For a moment, I was surprised that this isn't the end of this arc, but then I remembered that all the remaining volumes still have references to this arc.
This chapter references events in Chapter 62. The fight between Shuuzou (Misaki's Father) and Koinosuke was fixed. Since Koinosuke was a golden child of the Akiryuu, it would lead to better prosperity. Kind of a politics thing. Shuuzou reluctantly agreed, but many of his students would be attending the fight... so he at least wanted to go down with a proper show. Right when it started, Koinosuke took advantage of an opening that Shuuzou opened on purpose, and absolutely pummeled him. Thus leading into the whole argument in the ally where Koinosuke's students jumped him.
Oh man, I can't even imagine their reaction once they find Kurosawa's whereabouts. Could be potential fodder for the grannies, wouldn't be surprised if they hate the homeless...

Just like the original series, everything is building up to a big brawl as the climax. Can't wait to see Kurosawa kick this dude's ass! That page of him as a "true vagabond" is an instant classic.
