See I feel I understand just a tad more now
Be in the translation or me reading this right after rereading the first two chapters with my more developed brain, and I have like two theories of what's going on
THE FIRST, in the first chapter it's mentioned of a scriptwriting so perhaps this is part of a story played out through a script and happens to be based off the hugging girls
Or the more likely I believe
THE SECOND, the school holds "auditions" for this festival thing where kids fight to the death to get in, okay not to the death but to remove the neckless thing, perhaps it's a play thing I dunno
