I had a feeling it was her mother but i'm thrilled to see it confirmed. That poor woman must've been looking on in abject horror at all the abuses her husband inflicted on her baby.
The dad's in these "im angry bc you being born meant i lost your mother" stories never seem to think that a mother who would give her life for a baby most likely would rise from the dead to destroy the father of her child, if they hurt them.

Wow, so she's actually loaded. I'm starting to thing the knight's order is getting much more out of this deal than they could've expected with a patron like this...
But I do get her sadness. Money is amazing, and she'll be able to solve a lot of her troubles with the sheer power of (nearly) unlimited finances, but she would definitely prefer to have her mother alive and well instead.
