Their teamwork is amazing but also carries with it a melancholic feeling. They're both so self-sacrificial and going through internal struggles, yet both desire to protect the other.
It's like they exist in a funny paradox. They will both sacrifice themselves to protect the other and do their duty, yet it's that tendency they share that makes them worry about the other.
It creates this interesting tug and pull, that adds a lot of depth to their connection with one another and their interactions. The author does a good job of showing, through their dialogue, how they're each constantly probing the other, looking for reassurance that they'll be safe.
It reminds me of the relationship in Dom & Mor. Not at all a fantasy like this, but another story of two people with trauma and somewhat harmful tendencies, who work together as a self supporting team. I really love both stories, though they're so different. Thanks again for doing these. It can't be easy to cover both and also the twitter posts. You're amazing for that.
