There is a difference between searching for a body and buying an entire plot of land for it. Buying that land won't help you , as it's not that you know where the body is. That land would remain unknown even if it's property pass to you. Also you could buy the place of the battle (there were survivors) and the surroundings, and that should cost 10 mines, unless someone scammed the hell out of them.
The fact that Mikayil is trying to present that mindset as good is infuriating. It would be ok if it was a minimal part of his asset, who don't have unneeded spending if they can, but to spend so much to risk putting the entire family in jeopardy is stupid and selfish. And probably the sign of something wrong in your capabilities.
He wasn't even able to secure anything worth during the inheritance fight, and that might be becouse he wasn't a capable rational thinker.
It was partially his fault, if he didn't give away all these assets for nothing, he could be probably in an higher standing during the inheritance process.
