They had too much of information about technology at their hands, sloppy work of the demons as there still are parts of the world now where people not know we landed on the moon because there's no information about it.
Isabella obviously knows what's up, she purposely made them do choirs and picked the smartest kids to do it, distracting them so Krone could make an entrance. She is way ahead of them.
