The joy lies in everyone being honest and earnest in seeing their friend happily in love. Just too bad there’s sufficient ambiguity in who’s in love with who, but that doesn’t detract from the earnestness of their friendship.

Unrelated, somwhoe the flashback to middle school Minato and Youta (and Miki) seemed… less well drawn. Enough so I was thinking I might have clicked the wrong chapter or series. Which, if intentional, is one hell of a choice by the author, to deliberately draw a flashback with less technical acumen and finesse, implying that the author themself grew in the years since that time in the story. Particularly since the story didn’t start in middle school!

What a tightly built love quadrangle. It's fun watching Minato try to make a relationship chart like he's memorizing names from the Warring states era.

It feels like we're past the "getting to know them" stage and starting the main event. I'm hype.

Shame being poly isn't realistically an option, in ur 30s is one thing but i guess as a high schooler if you say you're dating more than one person it doesn't reflect as well on you lol esp in a place like Japan, tho outside of 'romcom harems' i dont think there are actual legit poly series that takes it seriously but that's a whole nother convo

I generally dislike prolonged misunderstandings in romance manga. They are often used as a lazy way to add more chapters before two people with mutual feelings gett together, without meaningful conflict it or character growth.

I'm giving this one (two?) a pass because it's funny, and the characters are still growing in the meanwhile
