Bruh, more like he's the protagonist and you're some lazy side character. Guy really risked his life to save a kid while you sat by doing nothing and you are worried about him asking for help in the future while you then immediately ask him for a place to stay... Seems like the mc is pretty egotistical and selfish. If she has some character development then it's fine that she's like that right now, but I don't see this going that direction.
