I have drastically changed my opinion of this Manga. Its hard not to compare it to the light novel, I try not to, but after finishing the light novels.... Its good thats its not the exact same, its something new, but because of this manga, we won't get to see the light novels superior story become the anime, its understandable that they don't want it to he the exact same story, at first the differences are minor and don't change the over all plot... Then you get to the leveling island(can't remember the name, wanna say Cal Mara) Gone, entire light novel out the fucking window, this is completely different and drastically changes, I'd like to say its a good thing, but the anime is getting adapted off of this, and honestly, I'd rather the light novel be animated.

Every isekai starts out good because authors have good ideas but turns to shit and boring eventually because they can't write, plan, and think of new things to keep it interesting. They're all fanfics that overstayed their welcome.

The guy holding the book surely is the alter-ego of the mangaka.

I was wondering why people were a bit on the fence with this manga. I can see why now. The story is really good and the art is great also, but the idea of being betrayed is something that hits home a little too much. I can't recall the time I was this mad after reading a story, but I guess it works to this manga's credit that by surrendering trust we put ourselves in a position to be hurt, but if placed in the right hands we can become stronger. To those iffy about reading this, read with a little grain of salt because it does get hard to read at times.

It’s been a while since I dropped this, simply because it diverged from the WN, and I didn’t think that it would become so criticised, the WN is still one of my favourite isekai which stayed good until the end (second version of the ending only, the first was shit), except for a few arcs that were so-so.

I liked it a lot early on but it devolved into being generic and i began to feel like i've read things like this many times over already
the early antagonists being a shallow evil church with vague goals and some evil princess with no depth of character didn't help much either
every character that isn't protag has about 10 brain cells its just silly

ngl, even though I loved the first bunch of chapters/first season of the anime, it gets more boring as it goes. Really, at this point I'm just come here every now and then for Naofumi.

I'll stick to the spin-off.

Is it me or this manga feels like it's completely lost it's route, it's like it was planned for XX volumes but the popularity made for the author to keep producing past the "real" end and it's turning into absolute shit, like a narutard copy. All the interesting revenge plot, girl raising, etc, all dumped for god know how many chapters of this stupid battle arc.


All this last "giant turtle" arc feels like utter shit.

Plus the "new" introduced characters are about as shit as they can be
