[The Rutles Scans] Solo scanlator, recruiting Cleaner/Typesetter/Proofreader

Hi, I'm going by Pervert Mask and recently (only two chapters ago) started scanlating Boku wa Beatles as a solo project, a seinen manga about a Beatles' cover band being sent back in time to 1961, shortly before The Beatles' debut. The mangaka is Kaiji Kawaguchi, who some might recognize from Zipang or Eagle, among other works.

In the interest of spreading out the work across more than one person, ensuring quality, and maybe even establishing a stable release schedule I was hoping to find a few other people who might be interested. Namely a cleaner, proofreader, and typesetter. Highest priority for recruiting is cleaner because I don't think I like cleaning anymore.

Positions not paid and workload/deadlines are up to you, it's all just a hobby and if I really want to get something done I can just chip in and do what's left myself.

Cleaner: (High priority)

• Raws provided are digital raws. Current process involves me automatically leveling the chapter as one batch with a photoshop action and then manually removing smudges from .jpg compression and such by zooming in and going over the image with a small white brush and a small black brush. Then main text is removed. This process takes me around 15-20 minutes a page. Feel free to use what process works for you though, as long as it results in a good end product.
• Experience optional. If you have no experience then I may send a pre-leveled page as a test simply to check that you can remove text/compression artifacts correctly, nothing difficult.
• All image manipulation done in .PSD file format. Photoshop not required as long as whatever software you use can work with a .PSD file.

Typesetter: (Medium priority)

• Typesetting is on the heavier end, minor signs/irrelevant background text can be ignored, but I have been typesetting things like major signs and SFX (subtitling with a smaller version of the SFX, not replacing). If you're interested in typesetting but don't want to do things like large signs or fliers than that could work too, I'd just take care of that.
• Previous experience preferred. Expected to know about text centering, basic shaping of bubbles, etc.. Expect a brief test if you don't have prior experience.
• All image manipulation done in .PSD file format. Photoshop not required as long as whatever software you use can work with a .PSD file.

Proofreader: (Medium priority)

• Duty is to read over the script for the translation and provide feedback on odd wording, typos, and possible translation errors before typesetting takes place.
• Native or near-native English knowledge preferred.

Hi. I mentioned it in a couple of places but should've put a post in this thread too - I'm occupied for a couple of weeks and can't properly respond to scanlation stuff until then. I did receive some inquiries about the PR position but if it doesn't end up being filled and you're still interested at that time then I'd be happy to talk about it!
