I'd've cracked open the lappy and re-seated the hard drive- or did the same if it were an external.
Windows does that sort of thing sometimes if there isn't a solid connection with the hard drive. Like, "I think there's a hard drive here? Maybe?"
It's even worse if it's an external, because there's a connection from the external to the mount inside the external's case, there's the cord that runs from the external, there's the USB plug, there's the plug on the motherboard, etc. Lots of potential points of failure.
Plus external drives are questionable quality, overpriced trash...
I hate external hard drives.

That's unfortunate, maybe someone can otherwise help you with figuring out a backup strategy to make the next hw failure a bit less painful. There are some cheap-ish option like Hetzner or Backblaze for cloud backups.

Spinning rust doesn't like vibrations/shock so external HDDs are somewhat hindered in being reliable for the long term (unless RAIDed).

That king must be using a LOT of eyeliner with lead in it- tends to make people crazy and all.

But hey, I'm not complaining about watching a bunch of people fail to best our girl.

What's with the random blurry text in the middle of the chapter with the emperor? It's like someone ran a blur brush thru the entire final thing.

I would probably do that if I have the competency or skills lol, the laptop isn't mine but my brother's so I would feel bad if I messed it up in the process, living alone in an unknown city also made me unable to seek help from any friend since there isn't any. This is also my first time having external HDD so I didn't expect it to get rekt this fast, atleast I learnt something.
Thank you for the recc tho~

Thanks for the answer. I found it weird because the rest of the scanlation's pretty good and there's no reason for it otherwise.

Thanks for the chapter.
