Is that a pokemon? The chaebol
it's definitely abit more than just "a family business" as
@crispy-whiskers says.
A chaebol is, fundamentally, a South-Korean family owned megacorporation, souped up on corruption and ridiculous amounts of political lobbying
Examples of them include Samsung, SK, Hyundai, and Lotte. All of which own massive stakes in the South Korean economy from electronics to construction to tourism.
The Japanese equivalent would be zaibatsus: Mitsubishi, Mitsui, Sumimoto, Yasuda being the biggest 4. Most of them were either reorganised or outright dissolved at the end of WW2.
Of course, Zaibatsus and Chaebols are heavy influences on the idea of megacorporations in culture, like in the cyberpunk genre for instance.
TL;DR A Chaebol family owned South Korean megacorporation structure.
