Odd thing: my native language is spanish, yet I still prefer to read english translations, simply because I find them to be fairly neutral in their translation, whilst in the spanish ones I tend to find a humongous amount of local lingo depending on which spanish speaking country the translator is from, which kinda takes away from the intended meanings, not to mention that they also tend to not bother explaining the original customs ("Merong merong" for example) and, to top it off, cover them with THEIR customs, which usually are incomprehensible to the other spanish speaking countries (there are about 8-9 different versions of spanish out there). Sometimes I do manage to find proper translations that manage to use neutral spanish, but those are far and inbetween.

So yeah, it's a bit of a gamble for me.
