well, in the end, he still failed to defend the dungeon...I love how he's becoming very self-aware and capable of thinking up plans/things by himself. You can really feel the character development after hundreds of chapters. He's not clueless anymore. The beautiful contrast of Leandro from the first half of the story to Leandro now actively cooperating, talking to and listening to him is also lovely.
So would Isaac.Brooks would understand him.
