i mean there is a bit of a reputations of chefs being assholes /being strict while running a place (outside of just gordon ramsey)

unless ur doing a to go order, i feel like going to a restaurant ten minutes before closing is kinda frowned upon esp in a 'polite' country like JP

guessing this is a manga only story i can't imagine the live action ver of him doing something like this haha

I’ve been in the industry, myself. Not even fine dining warrants this level of abuse, let alone a greasy spoon. Yeah, sure, the guy’s making mistakes, but that’s what you expect out of a student who’s working part-time to pay the bills—a foreigner at that. A professional cook or an apprentice making it their career, you do want to hold them to a higher standard, but berating someone in front of customers for minor infractions crosses the line.
