ngl the bs the redhead is spouting doesn't make much sense, following his logic what proof does he have that a swordsman or a magician won't betray the country or something if you think of the spirits as weapons then they have the same standing as magic or swords, it does feel like the author just thought "hmm i need to make an antagonist that's not clearly evil" and rushed the first thing that came to mind
