So I'm guessing this is a honey trap. It's a bit too convenient how they met and how nice Heisey is being, and she's Hilde's aide so she'd have to be really smart. Make him feel guilty and extract useful intel, 2/1 deal.
Or I'm just overly cautious and the author is pairing the spare.
