@recht @kazakae You have probably read all the chapters out so far and thus know more than I do, but already after eight chapters, I'm starting to see the reason. The world is so full of annoying people, especially those in power, that an immortal wizard like Judas would grow tired of it, become jaded and a loner. Tara was sent to him by a woman he hates, which certainly wouldn't help things. For some reason Judas still can't totally isolate himself from the rest of the world, so he keeps getting pestered by unwelcome guests like that stupid (wingless) fairy we just saw. Honestly, I can't blame him at all for having such an unfriendly personality. It's just Tara's bad luck that she has to suffer more because of it. But at least the others are more friendly toward her and are looking after her. Since the others are Judas's underlings, it means he is properly taking responsibility, even if unwillingly.
