Burn scars can be very jarring to people. I am lucky I only have small ones on my shoulders from fry oil. But they can be beat red with cracks or bubble scars sometimes from the individual layers of skin being separated by heat. I can only imagine for someone in a very visible place like the face.

well monster girls are cute, just bringing it up b/c other than a physical deformity most ppl use 'monster'/non human stuff as a literal thing or a metaphor; idk if i've seen too many irl ppl with burn scars tho if it's on their face i probably wouldn't stare longer than a second or two b/c i don't always keep eye contact with strangers unless i have to talk to them like a cashier but i was just thinking about the first main girl from asukanojo (tho her 'burn scars' were drawn in a 'shiny' way for some reason as opposed to realistic)
