It's obvious that some of them as based on tropes.
The Villainess is based on the popular Villainess character archtype that's been getting more light recently. It's usually a fallen noble character who was framed for a crime they didn't commit, or judged unfairly for one they did. Traditionally a magic user of sorts with a focus on charms or fire magic. Can be supplemented with its RPG-counterpart, the Bard or the Dancer.
The Gambler is common in RPGs, usually as the Thief character with connections to the underworld. Unlike a thief, the Gambler has better charisma, making them the diplomat of the group (alongside the Villainess). They would also rely on their LUCK stat, can steal in the open and are often wildcards in battle.
The Villager is basically the hidden ace. A relatively normal-looking guy who very few know of or respect, only to reveal that he's incredibly strong but humble. The Villager never participates in politics and usually focuses on farming, self-maintenance and quality of life. He's usually the most well-balanced of the group with no specialisations.
